Methodology: how we calculate and check

This page explains what our simulators do, where the figures come from, how we keep them current and what our estimates do not cover. It is the site's editorial charter.

What the simulators calculate

Each simulator applies a public formula to your inputs: compound interest with regular contributions, the French income tax scale, social charges, life insurance allowances, PER ceilings, capital gains tax. The assumptions (return, fees, inflation) are shown next to the result and can be changed.

Everything runs in your browser: nothing you type is sent or stored.

Our sources

Updates

  • Tax scales are reviewed with every French finance act.
  • Regulated savings rates are reviewed at every official revision.
  • Every page shows, at the top and at the bottom, the date of its last real change.

Limits of the estimates

Results are estimates for guidance only. Past returns do not guarantee future returns, and your actual situation (other income, household tax shares, your contract's own fees) can change the result. Our content is not personalised investment advice: for an important decision, consult a financial adviser registered with ORIAS.

Report an error

Does a figure look wrong or outdated? Write to contact@epargnemalin.fr with the page and the official source. We check every report and correct the page, whose update date then changes.

Independence

Comparisons apply the same criteria to every contract: fees, published performance, choice of funds, service. See also about us.
